Good Shepherd Community Church

I'm New Here

New to GSCC?

If you are new to Good Shepherd Community Church, we want to do everything possible to help you feel welcomed, valued and cared for and to give you ways to connect to God and others. You can read here to find out what to expect at our Sunday morning services, how to find us, information about our staff, what we believe, and how to get connected.

How do I get there?
We are located in Brownsville Texas, off of Highway 77, at 300 W Morrison Road, right behind Academy and across the street from The Home Depot. Please click HERE for a map to GSCC or click HERE for more information about service times and location.

When are the services?
We offer three identical, dynamic, and inspirational worship services on Sunday mornings. We also translate the 9:00am and 11:00am services in Spanish. Our service times are at 9:00am and 11:00am and 1:00pm (Spanish Service) every Sunday.

Do you offer the Lords Supper (Communion) and if so, when and how often?
Communion is a time we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us and the new life we have because of his death, burial and resurrection. Here at GSCC, we receive communion together during the Sunday services on a quarterly basis. We welcome people to participate in communion as often as they choose. Communion elements are made available at a table located in the back of the sanctuary.

Where do I go when I get there?
We have three buildings that makes up our current facilities. Our main building is on the left as you pull into our parking lot. You will see greeters and our Guest Central booth just inside our main entrance. Just past this main entrance and through our lobby is our Sanctuary. Our greeters and those at the Guest Central Booth are there to help direct you or answer any questions.

What about my children?
We believe your kids will love it here!!! We offer fun, age appropriate programs for children and students from birth through the twelfth grade that are specifially designed to be energetic and engaging. We have a great team of teachers who are committed to leading your kids closer to God in an exciting and nurturing environment! Our greeters will direct you to the appropriate classrooms and Activity Center.

All of our volunteers are screened by a thorough background check and carefully selected and approved by our pastoral staff. We consider it a privilege to care for your children and do not take lightly that responsibility. We have regular volunteer training so if you would like to get involved, please let us know by completing the NextGen Ministry Application and Background Check and we will contact you with more information.

Will I Be Singled Out As A Guest?
We make a general announcement to our guests during the service to thank you for coming, but we won't give you name tags or ask you to stand. We invite you to swing by the Guest Central desk, located in the lobby, after service and meet one of our Servant Leaders who will have a gift for you.

So what's next?
